MIRPUR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet on Friday approved Rs 73.50 billion Finance Bill, 2016 at a meeting held in the capital city, it was officially declared. The AJK government spokesperson said that the AJK Cabinet met in Muzaffarabad with Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed in the chair. Besides the cabinet, colleagues of the prime minister, chief secretary, secretary finance, additional chief secretary AJK also attended the meeting. The Finance secretary informed the House of the details of the finance for the year 2016. While addressing the meeting, AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed said that his government focused primarily for the socio-economic development and prosperity of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir by launching various mega projects of public welfare. He said the cabinet unanimously approved various resolutions condemning continued aggressive Indian posture and increased human rights abuses by the Indian forces in Indian held Kashmir and the arrests of the Kashmiri freedom fighter leaders including youth. The meeting urged upon the international community to play their due role for getting occupied Jammu and& Kashmir liberated from the Indian subjugation. Through another resolution, the AJK cabinet fully endorsed and supported the steps and campaign launched by the Pakistan Army for making the country terrorism free. “It is imperative to get rid of the menace of terrorism in the larger interest of the progress and prosperity of the country besides to ensure the security to the future of the coming generations in the country,” the resolution added. The resolution said, “The international community should exert pressure on India to immediately move for the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue through granting right to self determination under the spirit of the United Nations resolutions.”
